Scrivener supplies a few default name lists to use to create characters. You can create your own easily for fantasy or science fiction stories, but Scrivener has a hidden resource of name lists called Legacy names.

Scrivener has an extensive selection of male and female first names combined with surnames grouped by nationality in their Legacy list. Choosing one adds to your options when choosing parameters for name selection.

For the mac these lists are found in the Scrivener.app/Contents/Resources/Default Support Folder/NameLists

For the PC these lists are found in C:\Program Files\Scrivener3\resources\toolbox\namestool\legacy

When click add legacy name this action opens a folder with lists of various forenames and surnames. In these lists you can click and open multiple name files at once to add to your name generator.
